Job Title: Remote HEDIS Clinical Data Abstractor

Pay: $18-40 an hour based on previous HEDIS experience and credentials (overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly pay rate).

Hours: Full Time – 8 am-5 pm EST during training for 2-3 weeks and then (upon their supervisor’s approval, they can pick a consistent schedule between 6 am EST-6 pm EST but you must work M-F and must work 8 hours a day, and it should remain consistent)

Job Summary
The HEDIS Abstractor will abstract clinical data from medical records. The role performs ongoing analysis of charts for the appropriate review compliance and research and resolves assigned abstraction projects to drive other teams to work on provider education on behalf of the insurance plan.

Performs the basic functions of the abstraction position including ongoing analysis of medical record charts for the appropriate NCQA compliance.
The HEDIS Abstractor will follow and monitor regulatory changes as they pertain to HEDIS reviews and NCQA guidelines.

Job Duties:

We are essentially looking for 1 to 3 med-surg certified subject matter experts (SMEs) or nurse educators with at least 5 years of med surg experience (preferably still active in med surg but we all know it’s a beast out there) to revise pre-existing powerpoint files that are used for certification prep; once they are revised they’d schedule a time with us to record a presentation of the slide deck which is then uploaded to our site and used for hybrid learning (so a mix of watching webinars and self-study modules). The SME would be assigned a few webinars and I’d meet with them to chat more about the project and go over specifics.

The webinars are mainly organized by body system; we’re essentially making sure everything in them aligns with what is up-to-date practice.
